After successfully blackmailing elite private universities like Brown and Columbia, Trump is now attacking UCLA. Alleging lax response to antisemitism during last year’s anti-Israel protests, he ordered the freezing of $584 million in already approved research funding and demanded that the university pay a $1 billion settlement

Governor Newsom called this move “political extortion” and said that California won’t bow down. He’s right. Let’s support the governor and also urge the California attorney general—along with our representatives in the state legislature—to take action.
