Republicans in both houses of Congress are up to no good this week. In the Senate, Republicans are trying to push through the GENIUS Act, which would make it easier for Trump, his family members, and his cronies to profit corruptly from crypto trading. Democrats must use every means at their disposal, including the filibuster, to stop this bill in its current form.
In the House of Representatives, Republicans are working on a budget bill that will reportedly include massive cuts to Medicaid in order to fund lower taxes for wealthy people and corporations. This week, Mehmet Oz—the new head of the U.S. Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services—gave the game away by saying that he supports cutting federal Medicaid funding for people who gained access to the program through the Affordable Care Act. Democrats must start sounding the alarm now about this cruel plan to take away people’s access to healthcare.

Hi, I'm a constituent calling from [your zip code]. My name is [your full name].
Donald Trump, his family, and his cronies are using the power of his office to profit from crypto trading. And now Republicans are trying to push a bill—the so-called GENIUS Act—that would make it easier for them to keep doing so. In its current form, the bill will just enable Trump’s corrupt self-dealing. Senator [Padilla/Schiff] and other Democrats must do everything they can to stop this bad bill from moving forward. That includes using the filibuster. Thanks.
For most of us, that’s Sam Liccardo. If you are not sure who your U.S. representative is, go here.

Hi, I'm a constituent calling from [your zip code]. My name is [your full name].
Mehmet Oz said this week that he supports cutting federal Medicaid funding for people who gained access to the program through the Affordable Care Act. And we know that Republicans are considering Medicaid cuts so that they can lower taxes for rich people. The very idea of such cuts is repugnant. Twenty million people could lose their health insurance. No way. Americans are sick of worrying about healthcare access. We want Representative [Riccardo/name] to work on expanding Medicaid, not shrinking it. No cuts to Medicaid. No work requirements. Leave Medicaid alone—period. Thanks.
